Let’s learn about amazing musicians of different colors, shapes, and sizes! Using real quotes, songs, and videos, we’ll take a look at artists who lived inspirational stories, achieved fame, and thought outside of the box for their time or genre.
Why?
By age 3, children have already begun to develop implicit racial biases. Not long after, they develop weight and gender biases. These biases can be reduced in as little as one week through thoughtful conversation with caregivers - and with consistent guidance, we create a more inclusive society.
How?
Caregivers can read these stories with their children, jam to curated songs, and chat about their opinions and feelings together with the provided reflection questions as a guide. Explore for a few minutes today, a few minutes tomorrow... We lead by example with curiosity and compassion.
